Here is a place where people can list what they plan on bringing or can bring. This is to help people who might want to try something new know what might be available so they can bring the proper ammo/get an idea how much they might have to pay to compensate. This might also help people make up their mind on what they want to bring since it's been brought up a multitude of times that it's probably a good idea to only bring a few guns so you don't have to carry so much stuff into and out of the site.
I'm bringing:
Mosin-Nagant 91/30- Because I have lots of ammo for it and it's fun to shoot Marlin 336- Because my buddy is bringing his Winchester Model 94 and I wana have a lever gun match with him Savage 99- Chambered in .250 Savage, I don't have any ammo for it so bring some if you want to shoot it. This is actually up for sale/trade if anyone is interested. TT-C- And now I regret only picking up one box of 7.62x25, now I can't find any more.
What I'd like to shoot: Besides the obvious stuff like full auto things and the Barret I'm very much interested in getting some trigger time on a G3 or FAL type battle rifle. I also can never get enough pistol action, revolvers especially. I've never fired a 1911 style gun before, or anything in .45 for that matter.

My posse of 4 people will likely have:
3-4 Mosin-Nagants 2 ARs, one S&W one Ruger SKS Uberti SAA in .45 Colt Pietta 1860 Army Nagant Revolver 9mm M&P Maybe a NAA .22lr revolver A couple .357 revolvers, but only if someone really wants to shoot one
If anyone is interested in shooting any of these let me know.
I'd like to shoot full retard, but I'd also like to try out a lever gun.

I'm bringing: Swedish m96 Beretta 92s Maybe dad's luger Other guns and ammo people have asked me for in the chat
Other than that, it's mostly ammo for those guns, and some .308, 12 gauge and some 7.62x39 in case people need some of if people will let me shoot their funs. If you want to shoot that stuff or need a little ammo, just look for the fag in the 1940's era Swedish uniform bjorking it up.

One Hammerless 5-shot, one with a hammer and 6-shots. I don't know if he'll actually bring them though, so don't get too excited.

I'm definitely bringing my MAS 36, Krag, 1911 and Ruger 22/45. I'm sort of on the fence on weather it'd be worth the effort to bring my nugget, and if someone wants to try shooting it I could bring my Berthier.

And I kind of wish I had gotten a 22/45 with a threaded abarrel, but it was an impulse buy.

I've inventoried my ammo, and I think I'll have enough for everything except .45 Colt, so if anyone has some extra, or weaker handloads or something, I would be willing to buy or trade for it. It's going to be shot out of a cartridge conversion 1860, so definitely make sure its fairly weak.

Sorry, my big boy chainsaw is pulled apart right now. All I have is a baby chainsaw and that doesn't want to run correctly currently and I have not pulled it apart.

This thread is referring to the February PA fest, the VA one is on a campground / pre built range so there's no need for a chainsaw.

We live in Roanoke, VA and have used the Blacksburg Shooting Range several times. This Saturday (June 4th, 2016) we came to the shooting range and we had an absolutely horrible experience thanks to your "Nuggetfest" group. Your members had NO idea of gun safety/etiquette on the range. We saw people dry-firing while the range was cold multiple times, including when there was another person out on the range fixing targets. Another member of your "Nuggetfest" muzzle swiped one of us while he was loading his gun. We witnessed multiple people pointing guns in wrong directions that could have put the rest of us in danger. Your members also kept shooting OUR targets, coming over and shooting in OUR lane while we were still standing there, forcing us to move down. Not to mention one of your guys tried to call "hot" while my husband was still on the range fixing a target. To put the icing on the cake, we saw one of your members staring down the barrel of his own AK-47. He might not wanna do that. Overall, our time at the range was pretty much ruined thanks to you guys. Your members need some serious safety training and also a good dose of common courtesy and common sense.

It was a pretty cool camping trip but we never made it to the range, coulda been worse though, there could've been a crazy k/ommando bent on ruining everything with one sweep of the campground with an AR.

I'm going to pass this along to Travis; the organizer of these events. For whatever it may be worth, I offer my apologies. While we cannot fix what has already happened; going forward I'm certain that every effort will be made to ensure safe and enjoyable range time.

The organizer has already repeatedly apologized for the muzzle swiping and promised range safety will be more sternly enforced at future events. While I'm sorry your time at the range was ruined, I hope you can understand the lack of foul intentions. This is, of course, assuming you aren't a troll who's just been lurking the recap threads.

Overall, our time at the range was pretty much ruined thanks to you guys. Your members need some serious safety training and also a good dose of common courtesy and common sense. I'm displeased to hear you had such an unpleasant time but I'm equally displeased you didn't take the time to inform me immediately of any behavior you considered to be rude or unsafe. While I take safety and a fun atmosphere very seriously I cannot address issues I am not aware of. By keeping this concerns to yourself and waiting until you left to address them there was nothing I could do resolve them at the range. I can only treat this situation as hindsight now, though I am still glad you've taken the time to bring this to my attention after the fact, I'd have preferred that you contacted me immediately in person as another local had. Another local had an issue with their targets being shot and informed me of a muzzle sweeping incident, I believe this was after your group had already left without informing me of any issues you had. The moment I was told a small number of my members of my group were not displaying an acceptable level of behavior I called an immediate cease fire. I reiterated the basic weapons safety rules to ensure all those on the range had heard them, the problem with larger groups is people can come and go as they please and not everyone is present for the initial safety brief. Upon completing the safety brief I ensured everyone knew this was a very serious matter and should not be taken lightly. To deal with the issue of locals' targets being mistakenly fired upon by my group members I used a can of bright orange spray paint to clearly mark the areas in front of all targets that were not from NuggetFest attendees. This immediately resolved that issue. I checked with all of the locals afterwards and was told that there were no further issues upon my remediation. No one mistakenly shot a target that was not theirs and I was not informed of any safety issues. With regard to the "looking down the barrel of a gun", that individual is a weapon smith. They had removed the bolt from the firearm before inspecting the rifling of the barrel as I explained to another local questioning what they were watching. As you may not know, it is physically for a firearm to shoot a projectile without a bold carrier group, thus rendering the firearm he was looking down inert and completely harmless. In no way could he have harmed himself or others in the process with which he was inspecting and repairing his rifle. Also, asking if the range is ready to do go hot is not the same as attempting to call a hot range while someone is still down range. That is the entire point of asking, to ensure someone is not downrange and that everyone is in a safe position in preparation for firing. I'd also like to point out that I had noticed several locals still aiming down range with their rifles and dry firing as you've mentioned, while I did notice any of my group doing so. I believe at the very least in that incident, you had mistaken your own local Virginians for my group members, making it also difficult to determine which other incidents were not demonstrated by NuggetFest attendees, but instead locals. I thank you for taking the time to inform me of the aftermath of your experience but I sincerely wish you had instead taken the time to inform me immediately in person at the range of any issue you had. I should have been quite easy to notice as I was the gentleman walking down the length of the range constantly checking up to see how everyone was doing. Firearms are not a toy and should be treated with respect as should any issues that arise with their safety. Your concerns should have been met with just as much respect for safety and you should have brought them to my attention the moment you had any notion of feeling unsafe. You cannot treat your experience at a firing range like you are critiquing your experience at a Sears or Starbucks, you NEED to make any issues known IMMEDIATELY. That is the only way they can be resolved, just as the other locals did and as such their issues were resolved on the spot without delay. I hope you have learned from this experience as much as we have. Hindsight is not a luxury I can afford when safety is on the line. I hope you have a pleasant rest of your week.
