I made it to the first nuggetfest, found myself to be unprepared to help as much as I wanted, couldn't make it to get winter olympics. But this time, I would like to go to propose that those of us able and willing find a time and go to Penfield to repair, upgrade, and make it a better venue for nuggetfest.
Memorial Day Weekend would make a great time, as it would be a three day weekend, allowing us an extra day to work.
This weekend is for work, mainly. I'll working on plans for a small kitchen shed and a new outhouse that I'll prefab at home and bring to the site. As well as a couple rifle racks.

As far as I know there's not to be any pernenant structures built. The land is leased and not owned, unfortunately.

holy shit, how will you get a kitchen shed out there? that's a lot for the humble property, in my opinion an overhead tarp and a collapsing table works fine for a kitchen.
from what I understand Creep needs to be there as required by the lease agreement.
I can provide scrap Coroplast (congregated plastic), laminate the Coroplast with vinyl media for signs, and provide bamboo for temporary biodegradable structures.

The plan is everything will be in parts that are ready to bolt together once on site. I'll build it at home, pull the bolts and bring the parts on site and reassamble. Nothing will be "permenant" The major plan is to build a better shitter. As for Creep being there, I was hoping for his input on when he could make it ahead of the actual summer nuggetfest so we can get the site in shape for it.

If the location is gonna have an official kitchen I wouldn't mind being a chef. Cooking real food is cheaper and more tasty than MREs or backpacker meals. It only makes sense that nugget fest should have a meal service it could also cut back on the clusterfuck of people like me who brought their own camping kitchen setups and save the people money

I'll probably get there about 2 weeks in advance to try and spiff things up. You guys would be welcome to come and go during that time to help out. carl, would you like to "officially" volunteer as a cook? That's one of the many new "NuggetFest Jobs" (unpaid lol) that I'll be asking to have help with.

I can't promise anything for the two weeks ahead of time, but the crew I'm assembling for memorial day weekend should make life easier for you with any luck.
